MODULE ONE: GRAMMAR REFRESHER

Rationale:

Before discussing the primary focuses of this training, the participants will first be refreshed on the most important aspects of grammar.

  • CORRECT VERB TENSES
  • CORRECT PREPOSITION
  • FILIPINISMS

Focus/es: This session will facilitate an interactive discussion where the participants are refreshed on the most important and relevant rules on how to make their subject-verbs agree, on what tense their verbs should be in, on what correct prepositions to use, and on how to speak English correctly by avoiding Filipinisms.

 

MODULE TWO: THOUGHT ORGANIZATION

Rationale:

This module will achieve Objective #2, which is to communicate effectively be it thru email, over the phone, or thru business letters by organizing their message logically.

Focus/es: This session will introduce them to THOUGHT FRAMEWORKING

  3. Idea Sequencing

 

MODULE THREE: GRAMMAR AND THOUGHT ORGANIZATION ON EMAIL

Rationale:

This module will serve as the workshop for transferring learning of grammar and thought organization when composing emails.

  • WRITING AN IDEAL BUSINESS EMAIL (1 hour)

Focus/es:

  1. Parts of a Business Email
  2. Outlining and Writing the Content

APPLICATION EXERCISE/S

Writing and presenting own business email as a group

 

MODULE FOUR: GRAMMAR AND THOUGHT ORGANIZATION OVER THE TELEPHONE

Rationale:

This module will serve as the workshop for transferring learning of grammar and thought organization when making incoming or even outgoing calls.

  • BEST PRACTICES IN CALL HANDLING

Focus/es:

  1. Opening a Call
  2. Putting a Customer on Hold
  3. Responding Correctly
  4. Closing a Call

APPLICATION EXERCISE/S

Role-play: Participants will work in pairs to alternate playing customer and employee roles in a call simulation

 

MODULE FIVE: GRAMMAR AND THOUGHT ORGANIZATION ON BUSINESS LETTERS

This module will serve as the workshop for transferring learning of grammar and thought organization when composing business letters.

  • SOCIAL MEDIA (1 hour)

Focus/es:

  1. Parts of a Business Letter
  2. Outlining and Writing the Content

APPLICATION EXERCISE/S

Writing and presenting own business letter as a group
